2001 Alfa Romeo GTV V6

Intro.

A brilliant and practical sports coupe, well on it's way to becoming a modern classic!

Have really enjoyed driving the TT over the last 2 years. Unfortunately now it's not getting used enough with having other cars available and a baby on the way.

The car sits around 20mm lower than the factory ride height and is fitted with 18 Inch Alloys. Handling is awesome, car feels really planted without being harsh over the bumps or scraping.

35% window tints all around, good amount of privacy and looks without being too dark for wof etc.

Often our preferred car for road trips to Mount Cook, Queenstown etc. Fit's all the luggage in and then have the bonus of having a fun car for the holiday. I was unsure about owning an Automatic TT before purchasing but never regretted it. It's great for eating up the long drives or simply cruising at lower speeds with a coffee. For the fun roads you can then switch the car into manual/tiptronic mode, this offers quick and precise gear changes.

Seats and steering wheel have heaps of adjustment for finding that perfect driving position. Rear seats have been removed, happy putting these back in if preferred. The TT was never really built for carrying passengers in the back, the rear seats were useless with the front seats pretty much touching the rears. Better having the added luggage capacity and less weight.

Regularly serviced and well looked after, including transmission service last year. If I was keeping I would look at doing the cambelt within the next year or so. I believe the last owner had done but have no receipt for the work. New 12v battery recently fitted.

The car sounds brilliant on the standard exhaust, nice smooth tone and sounds great through the gear changes.

Headlining replaced in May 2022, looks great and won't fail like the original.

Middle cluster between the speedo and rev counter is pixelated, been quoted around $150.00 for replacement. Never really bothered me, can still see key info like 'range' etc.

Engine.

The TT had a few different power units over it’s production run. This one has the 150 bhp,1.8 Turbo engine driving the front wheels.

The finer details.

Here we have tried to highlight the areas which aren’t so good.

Reason for selling.

We don't drive her much, as we much prefer our Alfasud cars, so we don't really need the GTV and now feel we should pass her on.
