History.
This New Zealand new GTV was purchased from a guy who had owned for the last year or so. With many projects and another car coming through compliance the GTV wasn’t getting used as much as it should. The owner before this had the car for 15 years, keeping what seems like every wof sheet and maintenance receipt throughout this time. Along with the huge stack of receipts this GTV also comes with it’s original owners manual and service booklet. You can see the service booklet was fully stamped, receiving scheduled services approxiamtely every 10,000kms from new up until ………..
Engine.
Fitted with the naturally aspirated 2.0L Twin Spark , putting out around 150bhp at 6400 rpm, with a maximum torque of 187Nm at 3500 rpm. This GTV has a 5 speed manual gearbox and power is put down through the front wheels. Quoted kerb weight is 1370 kg.
The Twin Spark is generally more fuel efficient than the V6 and is more rev-happy, requiring more driver involvement to extract it’s full potential.
Exterior.
Overall the exterior is nice and tidy considering the car is now 27 years old. In preparation for sale we have painted both the front bumper and bonnet, both were suffering from stone chips. There are also small areas which are showing signs of lacquer peel, these areas are highlighted below in ‘The Finer Details’. We feel these areas aren’t really worth painting and that less is more in this case. The overall appearance has really been lifted with the fresh paint and new badges.
Interior.
3 pedals, 5 speed manual, no buttons on the steering wheel, perfect!
More often than not a cars steering wheel including can be cluttered with controls for phones, cruise control, radio and other distractions. These cars are all about the driving fun where less is more. The interior is nice and tidy overall, some slight ware showing on drivers seat, looks like someone has tried

The Drive.
As with all older Alfa Romeo’s the drive is exciting and
Reason for selling.
At emotive cars we enjoy buying and selling the cars that we would buy for our own collection. Although at times we wish we could keep every car we purchase, sadly we can’t keep them all. We use and enjoy the cars that we own, this way we can see what/if any areas need addressing before sale. This is our third GTV owned by emotive cars, we love working on them and having them around.
